Game of Thrones season 8

Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers: Night King’s wife REVEALED as major star joins cast?

GAME OF THRONES will see one important new character following the reveal Laura Elphinstone is joining the cast for season eight. Will she become the show’s final major villain as the Night King’s wife?

Season seven of Game of Thrones saw the Night King (played by Vladimir Furdik) and his army of White Walkers descend on Westeros following the shocking capture of Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) beloved dragon Viserion.
Smashing down the 800-year-old wall that acted as the last barrier to the North, the undead ice zombies swarmed across the threshold just as King of the North, Jon Snow (Kit Harington), was gearing up to defeat them.
Season eight is sure to be super-villain the Night King’s biggest season yet, as the leaders bring all hands on-deck to defeat him.
It has been revealed a character called Nora will be joining the cast next year.
Played by Laura Elphinstone, the news was discovered by fansite Watchers on the Wall when new information appeared on the actress’s agency page.

The mystery character could be a minor background role on the mammoth HBO hit.
Yet there’s evidence in Laura’s agency information to suggest this won’t be the case.
Alongside her role, it simply states “directed by various”, meaning there is a likelihood the actress will appear in more than one episode of the series.
While the notoriously secretive show could simply be attempting to throw fans off, there is another option.
Part of the newcomer’s storyline could see the Night King kill Nora.
Always alone, will the Night King finally pick someone to become his undead bride as they embark on leading the kingdoms together?
Following the decision to kill Viserion, it would make sense the Night King is keen to expand on his power and his “family”.
But will Nora be the character to have such a pivotal role, or will that fall to one of the main cast?
In a tragic twist, could mother of dragons Daenerys be turned into an ice queen by the Night King?
If that’s the case, Jon could be forced to murder his new lover in one of season eight’s most shocking plots yet.
Actress Laura has had a number of minor roles on various other television programmes, so viewers might instantly recognise her.
She has appeared on BBC period drama Call the Midwife and Game of Thrones’ fellow HBO drama Chernobyl.
Laura’s other television work includes ITV Christmas hit Peter & Wendy, The Trial: A Murder in the Family, and BBC’s My Country.
Who else could Nora be, perhaps she will be based in King's Landing and will have a major connection to queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey)?
Game of Thrones season 8 will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019. Seasons 1-7 are currently streaming on NOW TV.
